The submitter has given permission to the MIGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. _____________________________________________________________________ Clare County Cleaver, Harrison, Michigan Ervin Elmer Block, 78 of Farwell, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 1998 at Central Michigan Community Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Ervin was born January 2, 1920, in Romulus, Michigan, the son of Charles and Emma (Fisher) Block. Mr. Block served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He had resided in rural Farwell since 1981, moving from Romulus. He was a brick mason by trade. Surviving are his wife, Rose of Farwell, three sons, Linn and Michael Block, both of Janesville, Wisconsin and Randy Block of Columbia, Tennessee; two brohers, Charles and Delton Block, both of Romulus, a sister Ruth Ferkovich of Westland; numerous grand and great-grandchildren; plus other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Debra Sowle; and four brothers, John, Wilbur, Lowell and Albert. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements were by Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison, Michigan.
