He was born in Norfolk County, Canada in 1868. He came to Isabella County at the age of 10 years where he resided up until about 25 years ago, when he moved to Muskegon. He was married in Isabella County to Nettie LACKEY in 1888. He is survived by his wife and three children: Mrs. Albert AUBE of Clare; Frank BOWEN of Lake City; and James BOWEN of Muskegon. He is also survived by two sisters and one brother: Mrs. Cordelia MITCHEL of Coleman and Mrs. Lydia OWENS of North Bradley, and Peter BOWEN of Enterprise, Oregon; eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral Services were held Sunday afternoon at the First M.E. Church and interment was made in the local cemetery." (Oscar was the brother to my grandfather Peter Bowen and Nettie is short for Jeannette).
