The submitter has given permission to the MIGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. _____________________________________________________________________ Clare County Cleaver Jennie Mae Bringold, 77 of rural Harrison, passed away suddenly on Monday, February 22, 1999, at her home. Jennie was born December 23, 1921, in Lake George, Michigan, the daughter of Grover and Fina (Jacobs) Updyke. Mrs. Bringold spent her entire life in Clare County. She was united in marriage to Arnold V. Bringold on December l, l940, at St. Johns' Lutheran Church in Clare. Mr. Bringold preceded her in death on July 6, 1993. Jennie was a member of the Lake George Boosters Club, Sand Baggers Euchre Club of Lake George and a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 1804 of Harrison. Surviving are one daughter, Laressa Hoffmeyer, and husband Glen of Evart, one son Bud Bringold and wife Bonnie of Garden City, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two brothers, Grover "Dude" Updyke and wife Donna and Glen Updyke, both of Harrison. Mrs. Bringold was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother Art Updyke. Funeral services were held Friday, February 26, 1999 at l:00 pm from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison, with Elder Vernon Lewandowski officiating. Interment was in the Hillcrest (Greenwood Township) Cemetery, Harrison, Michigan. Memorial contribtions may be made to the Mid-Michigan Hospice or VNA of Clare County.
