Eaton aaeaton@voyager.net Obituary for February8, 2001, Clare County Cleaver, Harrison, Michigan Betty D. Montney, age 66 of Clare, passed away Thursday, February l, 200l at the Central Michigan Community Hospital in Mt. Pleasant. Betty was born the daughter of Ralph and Idah (Gillis) Bellows on November 19, 1934 in Clare, She married William D. Montney on July 16, 195l in Clare. Berry was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a 4-H leader, a member of the Home Extention, the Grant Twp. Election Board, the Clare County Historical Society and the Clare PTA. Betty was a member of the Brown Corners U.B. Church. Betty is survived by her husband Bill, a son Alan W. (Kim) Montney of Clare; five daughters: Kimberly Ann (Al) Birdsong of Clare, Maida Lee (Martin) Eberhart of Clare, DeeAnna Lynn (Dan) Mohr of Clare, Denise Kay (Richard Charles) Lyona, of Mt. Pleasant, and Tamera Sue (Mike) Myers of Clare; 25 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Betty was predeceased by siblings Earl, Glen Wood, and Nancy. Services took place on Monday February 5, at ll:00 am at the Brown Corners U.B. Church with the Revs. Chuck Malson, Charlie Lyon, and Forrest Hampton officiating. Burial was in the Cherry Grove Cemetery in Clare. Memorials may be made to he American Lung Association or to the Parkinson Disease Association.
