Obituaries from the Clare County Review, 1998


Norma Jean Covell, 7l, of Lake, died on Monday Evening, November 16,
1998 at the St. Mary's Hospital in Saginaw.  Norma was born on August
l6, 1927, the daughter of William and Charlotte (LaBlanc) Mehling.  She
was united in marriage to Richard Covell on March 22, 1948.
    Norma is survived by one daughter, Joanne Covell of Lake George;
eight grandchildren and one great grandchild; two sisters, Arleen Leitch
and Almada Fladung, both of Clare; one brother, Willard Mehling of Flat
Rock; along with many other relatives and friends.
    Funeral Services were held Wednesday, November 18, 1998 from the
Coker Funeral Home of Farwell with Rev. Latt Edwards officiating. 
Burial was in the Michigan Memorial Park in Flat Rock.
    Memorials may be made to the Cancer Fund or the Mid Michigan Hospice
of Clare County.
