Obituaries from the Clare County Review, 1998


Elsie Irene Coffell, 69, of Farwell, passed away October 5, 1998, at Mid
Michigan Medical Center, Clare.
    Elsie was born October 25, 1928 at Clare, the daughter of Burt and
Nettie (Thorne) Orvis.  She was united in marriage to Gaylord Coffell in
Mt. Pleasant on February 22, 1945.  He preceded her in death.
    Elsie was employed by the Melling Tool of Farwell.  She was a member
of the Farwell Church of Christ.
    She is survived by one son, Randy and Barb Coffell of Farwell; two
sisters, Alice Bradley of Clare, and Mary DePew of Farwell; one brother,
Harold Orvis of Clare three grandchildren, and many other relatives and
friends.
    Funeral services for Elsie were held October 6, 1998, at the Coker
Funeral Home, Farwell, with burial in the Surrey Township Cemetery
