Obituaries from the Clare County Review, 1998


Jessie Amanda Cooper, 89, of Harrison, passed away Thursday, July 30,
1998, at MidMichigan Medical Center, Clare.  Jessie was born October 28,
l908, in Harrison, the daughter of George and Mary (Frost) Griffin.
    Mrs. Cooper had resided her entire life in the Harrison area.  She
was united in marriage to Leo Cooper August 15, 1927 in Clare.
    Surviving are her husband of 7l years, Leo, of Harrison; three sons,
George Cooper and wife Audrey of Coleman, Ronald Cooper and wife Janet
of Harrison, and Darell Cooper and fiancee Bettie Brooks of East
Lansing; one daughter Lola Cullen and husband William of Deming, New
Mexico, and a former daughter-in-law, Margaret Cooper of Lansing;
numerous grand, great and great-great grandchildren; one niece, four
nephews; other relatives and friends.
    Funeral services were held Saturday, August l, l998 from Stocking
Funeral Home, Harrison, with Elder Dale Beavers officiating.  Interment
was in Evergreen (Frost Township) Cemetery, Harrison.
