Eliza Anne Crawford of Temple died on December 18, l998 at Shamrock
Manor Nursing Care Center in Clare.  She was 99.
    Ms. Crawford was born on June 24, 1899 to Catherine (Ducette) and
Thomas Crawford in Greenwood Township, Clare County.
    Ms. Crawford was the proprietor of the Crawford General Store in
Temple.  She operated the store from 1924 until 197l.  She was also the
Postmaster of the Temple Post Office for 31 years.  She attended Temple
Nazarene Church, and was a former member of the Ever Ready Club.  She
enjoyed listening to music and reading.
    She is survived by several nieces as well as several great-nieces
and great- nephews.  She was preceded in death by sisters Ethel Douglas,
Pansy Myrtle Haught, Mae Crawford and Mary Jane Blake.
    Funeral services for Ms. Crawford were held at the Fosnaught Funeral
Home on Wednesday, December 22, 1998 at ll am., Rev. Charles Hilliard
officiating.  Burial was in Fernwood Cemetery, Temple.
