Eaton aaeaton@voyager.net Obituaries from the Clare County Cleaver, Harrison, MI Calvin "Kelly" James Moriarty was born on October 30, 1923 as the son of John and Helen Moriarty. He was one of nine children. On June 15, 1946, he was wed to Dorothy Crabtree in Pontiac. Together they raised two sons, William (wife Sandy) Moriarty of Gladwin and Von (wife Gayle) Moriarty of Manistee. Calvin moved from Waterford to Harrison in 1988 where he became a member of the Harrison Church of God and the VFW Post 2706. He enjoyed watching sports on television, was a Tigers and MSU fan and was very patriotic in flying his flags. He thought the world of his grandchildren, and will be deeply missed by his whole family. Mr. Moriarty died on Friday, March 16, 200l at the age of 77. He leaves behind his wife; children; sister, Martha (husband Jim) Molleca; grandchildren, William (wife Lori) Moriarty Jr., and Dawn (husband Adam) Lund; great grandchildren: Stephen, Kevin, and Taylor, and two very special friends, Jamie and Bob Fleishhure. Preceding him in death are his parents and seven brothers and sisters. Visitation was held on Monday, March 19 at 2-6 pm at Stocking Funeral Home in Harrison and on Wednesday, March 21 at l0 am-2 pm at Godhardt Funeral Home in Keego Harber. A Funeral Service was held to celebrate his life on Wednesday at two pm at Godhardt Funeral Home with pastor Bruce VonWald presiding. Memorial contributions may be made to Harrison Church of God. Arrangements were entrusted to Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison.
