"Charlie" Parker., 2001, Clare, Clare County, Michigan Obituary from the Clare County (MI) Cleaver, 12-13-2001 Charles L. "Charlie" Parker, 91, of Harrison, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2001 at Mid Michigan Regional Medical Center-Clare. Mr. Parker was born on January 14, 1910 in Jackson, Michigan., the son of James and Anna (Dailey) Parker. Charlie had served in the United States Army during World War ll, Mr. Parker was united in marriage to Hattie Huff. Hattie predeceased Charlie in 1967. Mr. Parker moved to Harrison in 1973, coming from Jackson. Charlie was a member of the Moslem Shrine Temple of Detroit, Scottish Rite Masonic Temple, also of Detroit, a life member of the Michigan Masonic Lodge #50, Honorary Life Member of the American Legion Post 404 of Harrison, Clare County, 40 ET 8 Voiture 767 and Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #3541 of Harrison. Mr. Parker enjoyed wood working and building model trains. He loved his dog, Jackie. Charlie was united in marriage to Margaret Rentschler. Margaret predeceased Charlie in 1980. Surviving are one daughter, Janet Cromley and husband Mickey of Jackson; three grandchildren: Lisa Rudd and husband Brian, Stacey Davidson and husband Jeremy; and Kevin Cromley, all of Jackson; one geat grandson, Tyler Davidson; special friends: Magurite Morse of Adrian, Michigan, John Talbot and wife Carolynn and George Wagar and wife Edie, both of Harrison. Mr. Parker was predeceased by his parents and two sisters: Bernardine Pray and Adalade Watkins. Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 8, 2001 at ll:00 am from Charles J. Burden and Son Funeral Home, Jackson, Michigan, with Rev. Dr. Carl Benes officiating. Burial was at Woodland Cemetery, Jackson, Michigan. Memorial contributioins may be considered to the American Legion Post 404 of Harrison. Arrangements were entrusted with Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison. jic
