Darrell D. Devereaux, Jr., 45, of Circle Drive, Harrison, passed away Wednesday evening, December 16, 1998 at South Haven Community Hospital, South Haven. The son of Darrell D. and Jacqueline (Minaker) Devereaux, he was born June 19, 1953 at Saranac. Darrell was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, and in Harrison he was a member of the American Legion, the Moose Lodge, and the 40/8th Club. He currently worked in pole barn construction and had previously worked for Don Andrews Concrete in Greenville. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Devereaux; and his grandparents, Harvey Devereaux, and Anthony and Bernadine Minaker. Surviving are his father and step-mother Darrell D. and Della Devereaux, Sr. of Lansing; his mother Jackie Morris of Belding; his fiance Toni Howey of Harrison; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Tammy and Christopher Bell of Gowen, Michelle and Dominic Ridgell of Orleans, and Gabrielle "Gabby" Devereaux, at home; three sons, Todd Devereaux, and his fiancee Tracy LaFond of Harrison, Darrell D. Devereaux III and his fiancee Betty Nichols of Greenville, and Michael Switzer of Belding; and Larry and Terry Devereaux of Ionia; his grandmother, Pearl Devereaux of Middleton; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services were held on Saturday, Dec. 19, 1998 at ll:00 a.m. from the Brown-Teman Funeral Home, Greenville, with Pastor David Perry of the First Church of God, Greenville officiating. The family received relatives and friends on Friday evening from 78:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial was in Eureka Township Cemetery, Greenville.
