Cleaver, July 8, 1999 George Dollen, 87, of Harrison, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 1999, at the Laurels of Mt. Pleasant Nursing Home. George was born February 28, 1912 in Beverly, Massachusetts, the son of Jacob and Mary Dollen. Mr. Dollen had resided in the Harrison area since 1978, moving from Flint. He was united in marriage to Evelyn Goldin October 24, 1949 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. George was a Veteran of W.W. 11, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post 404, Harrison, and was the post bugler for many years. Mr. Dollen was a member of Beth Israel Temple in Flint. Surviving are his wife, Evelyn of Harrison, two sons, Jack D. Dollen and wife Janice of Harrison and Stanley Dollen and wife Sheree of Wintergarden, Florida, one daughter, Mary Burnham and husband Richard of Westland, six grandchildren, two sisters, Eva Bolston of California and Dorothy Schmidt of Massachusetts plus other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son; Michael Dollen. Services were held Friday, July 2, 1999, at the Chapel of Machpelah Cemetery, Flint, Michigan. Imternment was in the Machpelah Cemetery, Flint. Arrangements were by Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison, Michigan
