Dwyer, age 79, of Clare, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 19, 1998 at the home of her daughter. She was born the daughter of William A. and Roma M. (Six) LaVoye, on March 22, 1919 in Kalkaska. She married Thomas Dwyer on Feb. 5, 1945 in Clare and he preceeded her in death on May 22, 1976. Rena is survived by two sons; Thomas Dwyer and John and Fern Dwyer both of Vestaburg, two daughters, Patricia and Ron Snyder and Cheryl and Robert Humphrey all of Clare, a brother Lyle LaVoye of Pontiac, Sisters: Olive Allen of Clare, Ida Myers of Gladwin, Doll Corder of Farwell, and Betty Gegax of Arizona. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceeded in death by her siblings; Violet Haring, Dorm Davis, and Sarah LaVoye, and grandchilden Aaron Humphrey and Alisen Snyder. Funeral Services were held on Saturday, Nov. 21 at 2:00 p.m. from the Coleman Assembly of God Church with her pastor Rev. Earl Marsh officiating. Final resting place will be in the St. Cecilia Cemetery in Clare. Arrangements were by the Stepheson-Wyman Funeral Home in Clare.
