Wynell E. (Skip) Dyer of Harrison passed away Wednesday, February 3, 1999, at Ingham Regional Medical Center, Lansing. Skip was born to Pearl and Godfrey Harmon in Cullman, AL on May 6, 1919. Her family moved to Lansing in 1928. During her residence there, she bartended at numerous establishments. "Skip" married Glenn A. Dyer March 7, 1964 and moved to Harrison in 1975. She was a member of the Harrison Eagles Auxiliary and Harrison Lioness Club and enjoyed bingo, gardening and crafts. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Surviving are her husband, Glenn A. Dyer of Harrison, 3 sons; David (Mary Jo) Miller of Williamston, Michael (Phyllis) Miller of Perry and Gerald (Rose) of Lansing; two daughters Joan Elliott of Lansing and Judi (John) Veverka of Laingsburg; 3 step daughters, Karen Edgar of Lansing, Diane (Rick) Adkins of Eaton Rapids and Susan (Randy) Fleming of Mason; one step-son Steven (Vicky) Dyer of Holt, 24 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, February 6, 1999 at Chapel in the Pines Funeral Home, Lansing with Pastor Larry Smith of Grove Bible Church officiating.
