Wilson was born on July ll, 1927 in Shepherd, the son of Perry and Gladys (Merritt) Wilson. He was one of ll children, with brothers: Charles (wife Alice)Joe (wife Dorothy) Marsh, Perry Wilson, sisters: Iva (Husband Al) Eaton, Lillian Kuipers, Rosalta Himebaugh, Ethel; (husband Marvin) Bailey, Clarissa (Husband Alan) Carrick, Donalda Wilson and Ila Wilson. On June20, 195l, Dale was wed to Marilyn Woodin. Together they raised eight children, sons: Dale (wife Linda) of Conneticut, Richard of Florida, Dana of Alaska, Darryl of Florida and Verne (wife Mary) Wilson of Harrison; daughters: Debbie Wilson of Midland, Gladys Wilson of Harrison and Della (Craig) Coffin of Harrison. Dale has lived in the Harrison area most of his life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming and raising animals. He raised a colt named Spud that meant a lot to him. Dale's family remembers that he was always in good spirit. Mr. Wilson died on Sunday, Feb. 4, 200l, at the age of 73. He leaves behind his wife, children, brothers, Charles and Joe, sisters, Iva, Lillian, Rosalta, Ethel and Clarissa, many grandchildren. Preceding him in death are his parents, brother Perry and sisters, Donalda and Ila. A memorial service will be held at the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Thursday, February 8 at l:00 pm with Elder Dale Beavers presiding. Arrangements were entrusted to Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison, Michigan. jic
