Cleaver, Harrison, MI, 3-29-200l Ethel Marie (Hayward) Parker was born on February 14, 1927 in Pontiac as the daughter of Cecil and Olive (Isles) Hayward. She was one of five children, with brothers: Ronald, Bernard and James Hayward and sister, Ruth Bailey. On June 30, 1945, Ethel was wed to Ezra Parker. Together they raised three children: sons, Daniel (wife Janice) Parker of Westland, Michigan and Terry (wife Ena) Parker of Phoenix, Arizona, and daughter Linda (husband Lawrence) Sobry of Windsor, Ontario. Ethel moved from Dearborn to Harrison in 1980 where she enjoyed shopping, crafts, going for walks, traveling and spending time with her children and animals (wildlife and her pet dog, Star). Her family will miss talking to her and sharing in her grandchildren's lives. Mrs. Parker died on Sunday, March 25, 200l at the age of 74. She leaves behind her husband of 56 years; three children; three brothers; five grandchildren: Carol, Stacey, Todd, Cary and Gary; four great grandchildren: Zachery, Candice, Cassidy and Courtney. Preceding her in death are her parents and sister. A funeral service was held to celebrate her life on Wednesday, March 28, 200l at ll:00 am with a time of visitation one hour prior. Ethel was buried in Pleasant Plains Cemetery following her service at Stocking Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or Mid Michigan Hospice. Arrangements were entrusted to Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison.
