The Clare Sentinel January 12, 1972
Cyril Robert Farmer, 77, of 9644 East Brown Road, Clare, passed away January 
8, at his home in Arthur township, following an illness of three weeks.

He was born August 30, 1894 in Frontier, Michigan, the son of Fred and Eva 
Farmer.  He married Hazel Smith, September 25, 1937 in Alma.  He was a 
carpenter and had resided in the area for 20 years coming from Lansing.  He 
was a member of the Arthur Center Church of God.

Surviving are his wife, Hazel, one son, Robert Farmer of Beaverton, one step-
son, Malin Milke of East Lansing, two step-daughters, Mrs. Glen Carnes of 
Lansing, Mrs. Larry Hansen of Fort Wayne, Ind., two brothers, Carlton and 
Harold Farmer, both of Lansing, 15 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held January 11 from the Stephenson-Doherty Funeral Home 
at 3 p.m. with Rev. Arthur Munder of Beaverton officiating and interment in 
Cherry Grove Cemetery.
