The submitter has given permission to the MIGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. _____________________________________________________________________ Obituaries from the Clare County Cleaver, Harrison, Michigan Marie "Mary" Esther Fischer, 78, of Harrison, passed away Thursday, February 4, 1999, at Mid-Michigan Regional Medical Center, Clare, Michigan. Marie was born April 27, 1920, in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Charles and Myrtle (Moore) Riedel. Mrs. Fischer had resided in rural Harrison since 1977, moving from Monroe, Michigan. Marie was employed for many years by First of America Bank of Harrison. She was united in marriage to Eugene F. Fischer on December 18,1945, in Bowling Green, Ohio. Mr. Fischer preceded her in death on August 3l, 1997. Marie was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Harrison and a life member of the VFW Post 1075 Auxiliary, also of Harrison. Surviving are one son, Eugene C. Fischer of Jupiter, Florida, two sisters; Virginia Roberts of Phoenix Arizona and Carol Riedel of Harrison, plus other relatives and friends. Marie was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers; Louis and Lawrence Riedel. Funeral services were held Saturday, February 6, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. at Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison, Michigan, with Rev. Father Stephen Fillion officiating. Interment was in Hillcrest (Greenwood Township) Cemetery.
