            ESTEEMED SHERIDAN RESIDENT DEPARTS THIS LIFE MONDAY
          Services Held Thursday Afternoon for Mrs. James S. Gerow

                     The Clare Sentinel November 22, 1935

	Lydia May Southard was born in Eaton Rapids in Eaton County, Michigan 
April 4, 1882, and passed away after a prolonged illness at her home in 
Sheridan Township Monday afternoon at the age of 53 years 7 months 4 days.  
She was the daughter of Ambrose Southard and Sarah M. McNeil both whom 
preceded her in death.  Since the age of 13 she has resided in Sheridan 
Township.

	She was united in marriage to James Stanley Gerow July 27, 1904.  To 
this union wer born five children, 2 daughters and 3 sons, one son, Harland, 
preceding her in death.

	Mrs. Gerow is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Harold 
Larson, of Pontiac; Ruby Marie, at home and two sons, Callin and Russell also 
at home.  The only sister, Mrs. Neal Buchong, resides in Sheridan.

	Mrs. Gerow was a kind and loving mother and was esteemed and respected 
by all who knew her.

	Funeral services were held at the Thurston Funeral Home, Thursday at 
1:00 o’clock, Rev. M. R. Hondrich officiating and interment made in the Cherry 
Grove Cemetery.
