Born to Jeff and Katherine Sunday Hartman in Clare, he was married to Carrie Mott here in 1915. He was a member of the Central Christian Church and had lived in Pontiac 33 years. Mr. Hartman was the owner and operator of Hartman’s garage on Baldwin Avenue for the past 10 years. Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Glenn, Jr., and Vern R., one daughter, Mrs. William Iman and three grandchildren, all of Pontiac; three brothers, Claude of Houghton, John, of Clare, and Pearl, of Grand Rapids; and two sisters, Mrs. Ernest Green and Mrs. Roy Gordon, both of Clare. A son, William, preceded him in death. Services were held Sunday from the Donelson-Johns Funeral Home in Pontiac with the Rev. Charles D. Race, of Central Christian church officiating. Funeral services were held from the Clare Methodist Church Monday afternoon, with Rev. Leslie J. Nevins officiating and interment at Cherry Grove cemetery.
