Death Claims Geo. Hemstreet

     George W. Hemstreet passed away Friday, December 9, at his home in 
Sheridan township, following a lingering illness.

     Born April 8, 1876, in Wallaceburg, Ontario, Canada, the son of Nelson 
and Rachael Hemstreet, he has been a resident of this area for the past 75 
years.

     He was married to Mary Gerow in Clare, February 14, 1906, and they 
observed their sixtieth anniversary this year.  He was a retired farmer.

     Besides his wife, Mary, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Floran 
Pudvay of Clare, Mrs. Fred Moline, of Toledo Ohio, Mrs. Carl Wehrman of 
Midland, two sons, Gerald and Jack, both of Clare, 11 grandchildren, seven 
great grandchildren, and one brother__rt of Pinckney.

     Funeral services were held from the Stephenson Funeral Home Sunday 
afternoon at 2 p.m. with Frank Humphrey of the Elm Grove Church of God 
officiating and burial in Cherry Grove Cemetery.
