HOSKEY August W. Hoskey, 82 of Harrison passed away on December 31, 1982 at the Clare Nursing Home after a lingering illness. He was born on November 11, 1900 in Manistee, Michigan the son of Anthony and Bertha (Dumion) Hoskey. Mr. Hoskey had resided in Harrison since 1929 moving here from Flint. He was a member of the St. Athanasius Catholic Church of Harrison. August W. Hoskey was united in marriage to Anna M. Pfannes on April 6, 1929. Mrs. Hoskey preceded him in death on November 27, 1977. Surviving are two sons, John Hoskey of Harrison and Carl Hoskey of Capac; one daughter, Mrs. Fred (Beverly) Zimmerman of Clare; one brother, Walter Hoskey of Harrison; one sister, Mrs. Ida Burton of Curtiss; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; plus a host of other relatives, friends and neighbors. The Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, January 3, 1983 at 11:00 a.m. from the St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Harrison with the Rev. Father Fred Kawka officiating. Interment was in the St. Athanasius Cemetery, Harrison. Prayer services were held on Sunday evening at the Coker-Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison.
