October 28, l999 John M. "Mike" Hochstetler, age 57 of Clare, passed away Sunday, October 24 at his home in Clare. Mike was born the son of Phillip and Alice (Gee) Hochstetler on November 12, 194l in Mt. Pleasant. He married the former Joan DuCharme on May 6, 1967 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Clare. Mike served his Country in the Air Force during Vietnam. He was a Switching Systems Technician for Ameritech, and belonged to the Telephone Pioneers, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people. Mike attended the St. Cecilia Catholic Church. Mike is survived by his wife Joan; 2 daughters; Neddy (Matthew) Wuelfing of Misawa, Japan, and Cathy (Jason) Lynch of Farmington Hills; a brother Phillip "Kit" Hochstetler of Farwell; and 3 sisters Jill Hochstetler of Farwell, Mary (Vaughn) Croker of Belding and Pat (Bill) Gingery of Farwell. Services took place Wednesday, October 27, at ll:00 a.m. at the St. Cecilia Catholic Church with Father Joseph Ryan officiating. Burial was in Cherry Grove Cemetery in Clare. Memorials may be made to the Mid Michigan Hospice. Arrangements by the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home Inc. of Clare.
