Clare Sentinel, July 19, 1972
Alice Marie Joslin, 90, of 302 E. Second St., Clare, died July 12 at Clare 
Osteopathic Hospital.

She was born June 9, 1882 in Williams County, Ohio.  Her family moved to the 
Dover area when she was a child.  They traveled to the state in a covered 
wagon.

In 1898 she married James Joslin.  He preceded her in death in 1967.  The 
couple had 14 children.

She attended the Church of God at Dover.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Grace Hardin of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Mrs. 
Blanche Richmond of Harrison, Mrs. Mildred Bunting of Muskegon, Mrs. Irene 
Bennett of Clare, and Mrs. Dorothy Scharr of Coleman; one son, Clair of 
Gladwin; 36 grandchildren; 65 great grandchildren and three great great 
grandchildren.

Services were held Saturday from the chapel of the Brokering Funeral Home, 
Rev. Donald Herweyer officiated burial, was at Cherry Grove Cemetery.
