The submitter has given permission to the MIGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. _____________________________________________________________________ DEATH OF JOHN JACOBS John JACOBS died Sunday morning about 1:30 o'clock, after a brief illness of pneumonia lasting only about ten days. Mr. Jacobs at the time of his death, was 43 yrs., 9 mos., and 25 days old, and had been in the employ of the Ann Arbor Railroad Company for 15 years. Funeral services were held Wednesday at high noon at the Methodist Church with the Rev. James B. PINCKARD officiating, after which the remains were taken to Clare for burial and laid besides his late wife in Cherry Grove Cemetery. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. and also the Masonic order, the latter having charge of the funeral. His loss is mourned by two children, Mrs. F. K. WARNER and John JACOBS of this city; also three sisters, Mrs. Charles OLDS, Mrs. B. ROGER of Lapeer, and Mrs. Edwin CARPENTER of Clare, and two brothers, Thomas and Richard of Hesion, Washington, who were unable to be present at the funeral. Other relatives who attended were Mrs. Henry HORNING of Clare and Mrs. T. E. McGREGOR of Wise. * The above obituaries came from my grandmothers old scrapbook.
