Julie-Ann Witkovsky, 81, of Clare (formerly of Pigeon) passed away on Friday Oct. 12, at the Tendercare Nursing Home in Clare. She was born the daughter of John and Anna Guc, on Feb. 19, 1920 in Nobleston, Pennsylvania. She married Clifton Witkovsky who preceded her in death on Jan. 9, 1998. They had moved to Clare from Pigeon in 1995 to be near their daughter. Julie had been a member of the Pigeon VFW Auxiliary, the Order of the Eastern Star, and had been a cashier at the Pigeon A&P Store for several years. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Pat Humphrey of Clare. Besides her husband, she was preceeded in death by two brothers, John and Stephen Guc. Memorial services were held on Tuesday, October 16, 200l at ll:00 am from Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home in Clare. Final resting place will be the Cherry Grove Cemetery in Clare. Memorials may be made to the Garfield Memorial Library.
