Dec. 23, 1999 Frieda Isabelle Kipp (Amstutz), 86, longtime resident of the Mt. Pleasant and Harrison areas passed awayu on Saturday, December 18.1999. Funeral services were held at the Stocking Funeral Home in Harrison on Wednesday, December 22, 1999 at 11:00 am. Reverend Jerry Tallman, her nephew, officiated. Interment was in the Pleasant Plains (Hayes Township) Cemetery, Harrison, Michigan. Frieda was born September 18, 1913, to Chris B. and Laura (Good) Amstutz of Bronson,Michigan. She married Eugene Lawrence Kipp in 1941. He preceded her in death in April of 1997. Frieda was an active member in the community. She was involved in the Mt. Pleasant Public School system's Parent Teachers Assoc. She also served as a Sunday School teacher at the Inter-Denominational Church on Long Lake in Harrison, Michigan. She was an employee of Central Michigan University as a Senior Clerk Stenographer for over 23 years. In her retirement, Frieda was a avid CMU football fan and traveled extensively with her husband to support the team. Frieda's family includes her husband Eugene Lawrence Kipp, deceased, and four children, Larry (Fran) Kipp of Mecca, Indiana; Beverly Kipp of Harrison;Christine (John) Kipp-Brauker-denHeeten of Mt. Pleasant; and Richard Eugene Kipp, deceased. She was a loving grandmother to 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
