Edward Alfred Kalski, 83, of Harrison, passed away Friday, August 28, 1998 at his residence. Edward was born January 18, 1915, in New York, New York, the son of Anthony and Mary (Geraltowski) Kalski, Mr. Kalski had resided in the Harrison area since 1970, moving from Detroit. He was united in marriage to Rose Papier on April 30, 1939 in Detroit. Ed was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church, the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 4, 2235, the Sportsman Club, all of Harrison, a life member of the National Rifle Association and a member of Ducks Unlimited. Mr. Kalski retired from General Motors in 1970 after thirty- seven years of employment. Surviving are his wife Rose of Harrison, two grandsons, John Kalski of Richmond, and Robert Jr. Kalski of Almont; a great-granddaughter, Jacquelyn and two sisters, Florence Crawford of Detroit, and Harriett Gidelski and husband Steve of Lapeer. Mr. Kalski was preceded in death by a son, Robert, a brother Alfred, and a sister Jessie Townes. The Vigil for the deceased was celebrated Sunday evening at the Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison, under the leadership of Sister Rosalyn Nowak. The Funeral Mass was celebrated Monday, August 3l, 1998, at ll:00 a.m. at St. Athanasius Church, Harrison, with Rev. Father Stephen Fillion officiating. Rite of committal followed at St. Athanasius Cemetery, Harrison, Michigan.
