Eaton aaeaton@voyager.net Obituary from the Clare County (MI) Cleaver, July 19, 200l Kathleen Rose (Fisher) Carter was born on September 14, 1914 in Avondale, West Virginia as the daughter of Thomas and Rose (Dillon) Fisher. She was one of 13 children, with brothers: Graves, Clayborn, Bill, James, and Joseph; and sisters Genevieve, Della, Bessie, Ruby, Thelma, and Inez. On June 21, 1950, Kathleen was wed to Ralph Carter. She mothered five children: sons, Edwin (wife Carolyn) Pearson of South Carolina, Jon (wife Jennie) Carter of South Carolina and daughters, Janet (husband Ronald) Cooper of Harrison and Shireen (Husband Adam) Dietrick of Alaska. Kathleen enjoyed dancing, golfing, reading romance novels, and ceramics. She also enjoyed singing and playing guitar. She and Ralph moved from South Carolina to Harrison in 1999 to spend time with their daughter. Mrs. Carter died on Wednesday, July ll, 200l at the age of 86. She leaves behind her husband, children, brother Joe; 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Preceding her in death are parents, brothers, sisters, and one grandchild. Visitation was held on Friday, July 13, 200l at 4-8 pm with a funeral service to celebrate her life on Saturday, July l4,200l at ll:00 am at Stocking Funeral Home with Elder Dale Beavers presiding. Burial will take place at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia on Thursday, July 19, 200l at 2:00 pm. jic
