Isabella County Enterprise, Friday, April 29, 1904
At the home of his daughter, Mrs. Samuel Dawson, of Wise, Gabriel Lansing aged
77 years, three months and twenty three days, died April 20th after a long
illness.  The funeral was held from the Herrick church, last Friday conducted by
Rev. W. J. Hathaway, and the burial at the Cherry Grove.  The deceased resided
in this county for twenty five years.  He was born in Prince Edward, Ontario,
and was married twice, his first wife being Hanna M. Wyman, and the last Mary J.
Fox, years ago.  He leaves the following children:  W.R. J.H. Isaac,
Mrs.Presley, all of Herrick, and J.D. of Illinois.  He enjoyed a wide
acquaintance in the community in which he lived and had the respect and esteem
of all.
