Isabella Co. Times News, May 2, 1940
Nettie Kidd Lansing, 72, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ray
Dawson on Wednesday, April 24, after an extended illness.

Funeral services were conducted from the home on Sunday, April 28, with Reverend
Stanford of Shelby officiating.  Interment was made in the Clare cemetery.

Mrs. Lansing is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Glen Foster of Herrick, and Mrs.
R. Dawson of Ferndale; one grandson, Bobby Dawson of Ferndale; and three
sisters, Lucy of Washington D.C., Mrs. Edna Allen of Herrick and Mrs. Boynton of
Flint.

Nettie Kidd was born on March 18, 1868, in Livingston county and in 1891 became
the wife of Issac Lansing of Herrick.  She spent her married life on the family
farm in Wise township where she became active in community affairs. She was a
member of the Herrick church.
