Lake, 63, of Farwell, a former Charlotte resident, died of a heart attack Saturday at the home of the son, Douglas, in Midland, where he was visiting. He was born September 5, 1888, in Vermontville, son of Mr. and Mrs E. D. Lake, and was a resident of Charlotte for 20 years, moving to Midland nine years ago. He was a retired bookkeeper, a life member of Midland F. & A. M. lodge, a past patron of the Eastern Star, a past watchman of Shepherds of Bethany Shrine, and a member of the Congregational church. Surviving are the widow, Beulah; the son; a daughter, Mrs Donald Chapin of Midland and the stepmother, Mrs E. D. Lake of Middleville. Following services at Clare, the body was brought Monday to the Pray funeral home for services Tuesday at 2 p.m. Rev. Richard D. Hunter officiated.
