LaNell D. Howell, 8l, of Harrison, passed away Saturday May 12, 200l at
the Mid Michigan Regional Medical Center-Clare. Mrs. Howell was born
December 29, l9l9 in Madisonville, Texas, the daughter of Hervey and
Wilma (Horton) Denman. LaNell moved to Harrison in 1995, coming from
Middleton, Tennessee. LaNell was a member of the Harrison Church of
Christ.

Surviving are two sons: Hervey Whitbey and wife Bonnie of Dowagiac,
Michigan. Thomas Whitbey and wife Vicky of Harrison, one daughter:
Patricia A. Schlieger and husband Don of Waterloo, Wisconsin; seven
grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and six great-great
grandchildren. Mrs. Howell was preceded in death by her parents, one
brother: John A. Howell and her husband: Andrew Hodge.

Funeral services were held on Monday, May 14, 200l a 3:00 pm from
Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison, with Minister Dale Fielder
officiating. Interment was in New Hope Cemetery, Middleton, Tennessee.
Arrangements were entrusted with Stocking Funeral Home.
