Obituary from the Clare County Cleaver, Harrison, MI Lois Carolyn (Brown) Laufer was born on December 29, 1949 in Harrison as the daughter of George and Golda (Maynard) Brown. She was one of nine children, with brothers: Bennie Brand, Linden "Lenny" Brand, Wilbur Brand, Lester Brown; sisters: Geneva Bently, Esther Sweatland, Joyce Ferguson, and Elsie Cook. On August 16, 1969, Lois was wed to Robert Laufer. Together they raised two children, Kandy and Randy Laufer. Lois graduated from Harrison High School in 1969, then moving to Saginaw until she returned to Harrison in 1981. She enjoyed gardening, camping, making jewelry, playing on the computer, reading and spending time with her family and friends. She loved to cook and spent most of her leisure time with her husband. Mrs. Laufer died on Monday, March 12, 200l at the age of 5l. She leaves behind her husband, daughter, mother, two brothers, sisters, several nieces and nephews, and many other family members. Preceding her in death are her son, Randy, father, and brothers Bennie and Lester. A Funeral Service was held on Thursday, March 15 at l:00 pm at Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Elder Dale Beavers presiding. There was a time of visitation from ll-l pm the same day. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Arrangements were entrusted to Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison.
