Clare County Cleaver - 14 November 1999
Elizabeth McGivern, age 8l, of Farwell, passed away Thursday, November
11, 1999 in Grand Rapids.  She was born on May 25, 1918 in Scott's
Bluff, Nebraska.  She married Oscar McGivern on January 24, 1936 in
Flint, and he preceded her in death in 1979.  She lived in the Clare
area since moving from Flint in 1972.

Survivors include her son Oscar (Cassie) McGivern of Clio.
Daughters: Shirley (Kenneth) Bradley of Mt. Morris, Barbara Musgrave of
Flint, Ila (Ed) Rousseau of Clare, Gloria Powell, Jacqueline (Marty)
Irwin, all of Flint, Elizabeth (John) Burgess of Florida, Pauline Arnett
of Flint, Diane (Dave) Biaulieu of Pinckney, Evelyn Lewis of Flint, and
a sister Lilly (Leroy) Nudley of Flint; 29 grandchildren, 29 great
grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild; and Tina (Jerry) Ford of
Grand Rapids.  She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, a
sister, and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Monday, November 15, at 11:00 a.m.
from the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral home in Clare.  Burial was  in the
Cherry Grove Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the National Kidney
Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
