The submitter has given permission to the MIGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. _____________________________________________________________________ Obituaries, Clare County Cleaver, Harrison, Michigan, October 28, 1999 John Edward "Cotton" Mobbs, 75, of Hannings Lane, TN, formerly of Harrison, died October 22, 1999 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City, TN. He was born on Febrary 5, 1924 in Obion County, TN, and was a son of the late Lewis M. Mobbs and Lucy Mae Smith. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the army and worked as an Automobile Mechanic. He was united in marriage on Oct. 5, 1962 to Virginia Sebaskey whom proceded him in death on June 26, 1988. Surviving family members are Sons Randy Martin of Franklin, IN, and Ray Martin of Harrison. Daughters Roxsand Comer of Harrison, daughter Carrol Elliot of Harrison, daughter Barbara Graham of Union City, TN, Daughter Robin Walker of Flint. Sisters Bea Posgrove of Union City, TN, Evelyn Solmon of Troy, brothers Billy Mobbs of Union City, TN, Jake Mobbs of Drayton Plains, James Mobbs of Union City, TN; 23 grandchildren and 20 great- grand children. He was precedeased by his wife, Virginia, a son Wesley Martin; 2 sisters, Mane Hamblin and Elizabeth VanKleck, 2 brothers, William and Thomas Mobbs, and a great-grandchild, Gage Thering. Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 30, 1999 at the Church of God in Harrison, MI. The Rev. Bruce Von Wald will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hamilton Twp. Cemetery in Harrison, MI. Visitation will be held Friday evening, October 29, 1999 at the Church of God, Harrison, MI. Arrangements were made through the Smith Family Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Harrison.
