Genevieve (Bowen) McDonald, age 94 of Clare, passed away Thursday,April
26 in Stuart, Florida.  She was born the daughter of John and Mary
Bowen, On Dec. 18, 1906 , in Alpena, Michigan.  She graduated from St.
Bernard's Catholic School in Alpena.  In 1928, she received her RN
degree from Glottner Hospital in Colorado Springs.  She atteded post
graduate studies at the University of Michigan, the University of
Chicago, and Lyonin Hospital in Chicago.  She had been a Public Health
Nurse in the Detroit area.  She married Daniel A. Mcdonald on July 3,
1929 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan and moved to Clare from Detroit in 1941`.
Genevieve was a member of the St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Clare.
      She is survived by her husband Daniel A McDonald of Clare, a sister
Shirley Franklin of Dallas, Tx. and niceces and nephews, Robert Bourdage
Susan Bouroughs, Kathy Mallary Joe, John, Tim, and Daniel Casteel, Linda
Steck, Michael McDonald
  and Genevieve Susan Daumgarth.  She was preceded in death by her half
sister Ann Bourdage.
      Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May l, at ll am from the St.
Cecilia Church in Clare, with burial in the St. Cecilia cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Cecelia Church.
