Mary was born on January 12, 1914 in Beal City, the daughter of Louis and Catherine (Finnert) Fox. She was united in marriage to Alva Walker on March 4, 1933 in Mt. Pleasant. Mary was a member of the Lake Rod & Gun Club and the Lake Eagles Auxiliary, Her children Shirley Lewis (Clayt) of Lake, Evonne Gauthier (David) of California, Jean and Will Robison of Farwell, Charles and Marilyn of Lake, Gary and Marieof Lake, George, Thomas and Linda of Lake, and Allen of Michigan, 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and son in law Matt McConnell of Clare survive Mary.. Brother Clarence Fox of Warren, sister Anna Marie and Duane Huber of Mt. Pleasant, and many other relatives and friends also survive. Her parents, husband, daughter Diana McConnell, son Ronald, one sister, and one brother preceded Mary in death. Visitation was held on Tuesday at the Coker Funeral Home of Farwell, and on Wednesday at the St Cecelia Catholic Church of Clare. Funeral services were held on Wednesday from the St. Cecilia Catholic Church, with burial in the St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Cemetery in Beal Citty, Memorials may be given in Mary's name in the Diana McConnell youth trust fund at the Chemical Bank in Clare, Michigan. jic
