Obituary from the Clare County Cleaver, Harrison, MI, February l, 200l

Mertie A. Corder, 9l years old, former Harrison resident has passed away, 
January 28, 200l, at her winter residence in Punta Gorda, Florida. Mertie 
was born May 6, 1909 in Clare. She was pre-deceased by three husbands and a 
companion. Her husbands were C. Jack Emery, Andrew L. Whitehead, and Oscar 
Corder; and her companion Shorty Eagling.

She has already been cremated. A memorial service will be held in Swartz 
Creek at a later date. It will be announced in the Clare County Cleaver for 
those interested in attending.
