The submitter has given permission to the MIGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. _____________________________________________________________________ Clare County Cleaver July 15, 1999 Gerald "Jerry Joe" Nivison, age 52 of Clare, passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 10, at Mid-Michigan Medical Center, Clare. He was born the son of Gerald James and Florence R. (Grise) Nivison on Aug. 2, 1946, in Mt. Pleasant. Her served his country for 16 years with the US Navy, including service in Vietnam. He married Deborah Deitrick on July 2, 1983 in Midland. He lived in the Clare area for most of his life and was employed at Dow Chemical Co. in Midland. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Mt. Pleasant, and was active in Boy Scout Troup 620 in Clare. Jerry is survived by his wife Deborah, Sons; Gerald Joseph Jr. of Texas, Jeremy Michael Lehmann of Oscoda, and Patrick Joseph Lehmann of Clare, Daughers; Kari Lynn Wood of Beaverton, and Nicole Christina Williams of Grove City, Ohio; his Brothers, Richard Nivison of Florida and James Nivison of Harrison; Sisters, Donna Kaufman of Detroit, and Helen Reid of Florida. Also surviving are six grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents and a son Scott Allen. Funeral services were held on Tuesday July 13 at 2:00 p.m. from the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home in Clare with Rev. Gordon Weller officiating. Burial was in St. Cecelia Cemetery in Clare. Memorials may be made to the Goodrow Fund at St. Johns' Episcopal Church.
