William (Bill) Newburry, Sr., age 69, of Farwell died on Monday, January l, 200l at his home. Bill was born on February ll, 1931 in Kalamazoo, the son of William L. and Jennie (Lord) Newburry. He was united in marriage to Susan Eisenhauer on August 23, 1985 in Harrison. Bill is survived by his wife Susan; children David and Donna Newburry of Edmondsburg, Curtis Newburry of Farwell, Brenda and Duane Covell of Decater, Sandra Newburry and William and Kress Newburry of Clare, Steven Newburry of Marcellus, Christopher Grant of Farwell; step-son Brian and Michelle Grant of Clare; step-daughter Charlotte and Alan Williams of Farwell; sisters Dorothy Courter and Earl Webber of Grand Rapids, Marilyn and Richard Blasius of Three Rivers; and brothers Seth and Donna Newburry of Connecticut, and Leo Newburry of Kalamazoo along with many grandchldren and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother, Cleo Micheau Leona Soule, Vivian Franklin and Kenneth Newburry; and by his parents Jennie Mae Lord Newburry and William Leroy Newburry. Funeral services were held at the Coker Funeral Home of Farwell on Wednesday, January 2, 200l, with Rev. Jane Ellen Johnson officiating with burial in the Surrey Township Cemetery.
