Mr. Pfannes was born Feb. 19, 1904 in Hatton Township of Clare County to John V. Pfannes and Eva Kraft. He married Edna Snively on Dec. 30, 1944, who survives. Mr. Pfannes moved from Harrison to Evart in February of 1953. He had been a building contractor for a number of years. In Evart, he was the owner of Nick & Edna's Party Store and also was a building contractor. Other survivors include a step-daughter, Mrs. Lloyd (Carolyn) Keysor of Evart, a step-son, Larry Snively of Farmington Hills; 7 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; four brothers, Sebastian of Lake, Edward of Troy, William of Harrison and Richard of Harrison; a Sister Mrs. August (Anna) Hoskey of Harrison. His funeral was May 31 from the Corey Funeral Home with Rev. David Augenstein, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran, officiating. Burial was at Forest Hill. Submitted by Lillian A. Pfannes lapfannes@msn.com
