            REX EUGENE ORVIS DIES WEDNESDAY A.M. AT CLARE HOSPITAL
            Ruptured Appendix Takes Life of Clare County Young Man
                    [a Clare newspaper clipping 1941]

	Rex Eugene Orvis, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Orvis, passed away 
Wednesday morning, January 1, at the Clare County General Hospital here at the 
age of nineteen years, following a week’s illness.

	He was brought to the hospital in a serious condition, where 
examination revealed his appendix to be ruptured, which was the cause of his 
death.

	Funeral services will be held at the Arthur town hall tomorrow, 
Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock.
