                          Myrtle Orvis Laid to Rest
                 a Clare newspaper clipping November 16, 1967

	Myrtle Marie Kever, daughter of Kirby and Matilda Kever was born 
August 25, 1895 in Montcalm county and passed away Tuesday, November 7, at the 
age of 72, having been in ill health the past twenty or more years.

	She was united in marriage to Ervin Orvis in 1915.  To this union was 
born two children, a son Leonard of Clare, and daughter Thelma (Mrs. Lawrence 
Bates) of Midland.

	She lived most of her life in Clare county, with 52 years in the Eagle 
community.  She was a member of the Eagle Ladies Aid until poor health kept 
her from attending.
