Clare County Cleaver - 2 December 1999
Clair "Snick" E. Wood, age 69 of Clare, passed away Thursday, November
25 at his home.  Snick was born the son of Dewey and Eleanor (Thering)
Wood on February 18, 1930 in Isabella County.  He married Loretta Storrs
on October 26, 1957 at St. Cecelia Catholic Church.  Snick  served his
Country during WWII in the Army.  He worked for Holly Carburetor in
Clare as Chief Inspector and Foreman.  He also worked as a Chemical
Technician for Dow Corning.  Snick was a member of the St. Cecilia
Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Snick is survived by his wife Loretta; sons David of Clare, Don
(Michele) of California and Dan (Kristi) of Clare; a daughter Debbie
(Bradley) Musser of Gaylord; a brother William (Audrey) of Clare;
sisters Margie (David) Koos of Dearborn, Jeannie (Richard) Haynak of
Harrison and Linda Zinser of Pinckney; grandchildren Samantha, Kurt,
Danielle, Dawson, and Acacia.  Snick was predeceased by a son Douglas
Edward in 1958, his parents, and a brother LaVern in 1999.

Funeral Services took place Monday, November 29 at ll:00 am at the
St Cecilia Catholic Church with Father Joseph Ryan officiating.  Burial
will be in the St. Cecilia Cemetery.  A Rosary Service was held at 8:00
pm Sunday.  Memorials may be made to the St. Cecilia School or Building
Fund.  Arrangements by the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home.
