Obituaries from the Clare County Cleaver, Harrison, MI, October 7, l999

Mary H. Peterson, age 7l, of Harrison, passed away Saturday, September
18, 1999 at MidMichigan regional Medical Center-Midland.  She was born
the daughter of Allen and Clara (Zmuda) Roche on April 4, 1928 in
Janesville, Wisconsin.  Mary and husband Robert W. Peterson united in
marriage on June 4, 1949 at Ionia, Michigan.
    Mrs. Peterson has been a resident of Harrison since 1985, formerly
of Stanton and Palo.  She was a member of the Palo Rebekah Lodge #389,
the L.E.A. #53 of Palo and the L.A.P.M. #10 of Midland, Michigan.
    Surviving is husband Robert W. Peterson; one son and his friend
Raymond Peterson and Karen Quincy of Jerome, MI; a daughter-in-law, Kay
Oligny of Lowell, MI; two grandchildren, Melissa Peterson of Lowell, MI
and Justin Peterson also of Lowell, MI.  
    Mary was preceded in death of two infant sons who died at birth,
Roger and Ronald and also a third son, Robert Allen Peterson who died on
January 8, 1992.
    Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 21, 1999.  Funeral
services were held on Wednesday, September 22, 1999 at the Stebbins and
Simpson Funeral Home at Sheridan with Rev. Kenneth Harger of Shiloh
Community Church officiating.  Interment was held at Palo Cemetery,
Palo, MI.  Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
