Obituaries, Clare County Cleaver, Harrison, Michigan, October 28, 1999

Richard John Pfannes, age 87, of Harrison, passed away on October 22,
1999, at Mid-Michigan Regional Medical Center, Clare, Michigan.  Richard
was born on April 3, 1912, in Harrison, the son of John and Eva (Kraft)
Pfannes.  He had resided in Harrison since 1975, moving from Saginaw.
Mr. Pfannes retired from General Motors Steering Gear, Saginaw in 1973
after twenty-two years years of employment.  He was a member of the UAW
Local 699, Saginaw.  Richard J. Pfannes was united in marriage to
Wanda H. Richardson on June 26, 1937 in Harrison.  Mrs. Pfannes preceded
him in death on January 20, 1999.
     Surviving are three daughters; Rosemarie Zoellner of Alma, Margaret
King and husband Edward of Bridgeport, and Sally Hensel of St. Charles;
a son, Douglas Pfannes and wife Verna of Hemlock; sixteen grandchildren,
twenty great-grandchildren, three sisters-in-laws, plus other relatives
and friends.  He was also preceded in death by four brothers, one
sister, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
     Funeral services were held Monday, October 25, 1999 at ll:00 a.m.
from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison, with Rev. Father Jerome Niedermier
officiating.  Interment was in St. Athanasius Cemetery,
