She was united in marriage to Wm. Runyan in the year 1852, at Defiance, Ohio. To this union was born eight children: Almira Young, of Spokane, Wash.; Alonzo, who passed away April 9th, 1877; John, of Farwell; Edwin and Cortes, of Clare; Addie Michaud and Alice Clemons, of Beaverton and Amy Gilman, of Saginaw. She leaves to mourn their loss her children, grandchildren, and their descendants, one brother, of Defiance, Ohio, and a sister of Montana, and a host of friends. In the year 1866 they moved from Ohio, settling in Saginaw county, four years later moving to Clare county where they shared the hardships of pioneer days. In the year 1895, her companion passed beyond and since then her home has been at Beaverton. Her life has always been fully consecrated to her Maker, her faith enduring to the last. She united many years ago with the United Brethren Church. The funeral was held Thursday at the Eagle church, Rev. Chas. Kleinhart officiating, with burial at Thompson cemetery. Those who attended from a distance were, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Stockman, of Defiance, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Gilman and family, of Saginaw; Mrs. A. Buck and children, of Union City; Mr. and Mrs. Bud Orvis, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Tryon and son, of Pontiac; Mr. and Mrs. H. Bailey, Mrs. Wm. Kaweck, Mrs. J. Kaweck, Mrs. Arthur Kaweck and Mrs. Ordeway, of Midland.
