The Clare County Review, July 4, 1999:
William "Jack" Roberts, 90, of Clare, passed away suddenly on Friday
June 25, at his home.  He was born the son of Hiram D. and Dorothy
(Knowles) Roberts on June 12, 1909, in Shiloh, Illinois.  He married
Elizabeth "Bettie" Gordanier on Oct. 8, 1956 in Gladwin.  They moved to
Clare in 1956.  He had retired from the Maintenance Dept. of Chrysler
Automotive.
     Jack is survived by his wife "Bettie", and two nephews, Billy
Cooper of Illinois, and Mile Cooper of Oregon.
     Memorial services were held on Saturday July 10, at ll:00 a.m.
from the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home in Clare.  Memorials may be made
to Big Brothers and Big Sisters.  Final resting place will be Cherry
Grove Cemetery in Clare.
