Obituaries from Clare County Cleaver, Sept. 30.1999

Elizabeth "Bette" J. Roberts, age 8l, Clare, passed away Sunday,
Sept. 26, 1999 at her home in Clare.  Bette was born the daughter
of Carl C. and Hallie M. (Komp) Gordanier on February 22 1918 in
Clare.  She married William "Jack" Roberts on October 8, 1956 in
Gladwin and he predeceased her on June 25, 1999.  Bette graduated
from Clare High School in 1935.  She had worked as a secretary for 
The Citizens Insurance Company and for a while had worked in a meat
processing plant in Detroit.
    Surviving Bette are two nephews Billy Cooper of Illinois and Mike
Cooper of Oregon; along with numerous friends.
     Memorial services took place Wednesday, September 29, at 2:30
pm at the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home with pastor Jim Harwood 
officiating.  Memorials may be made to the Mid Michigan Visiting
Nurses.  Arrangements by the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home, Inc. of
Clare.
